Jonathan Tager

Jonathan Tager is the Executive Chairman of Magnisol and has been with the EPI-USE Group, a founding member of Magnisol, since July 1999. Jonathan was previously a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. He was admitted to the partnership of Price Waterhouse in 1996 and later that year was appointed to head the firm's Information System Risk Management (ISRM) practice in South Africa.
At the time of the merger between Price Waterhouse and Coopers & Lybrand in 1998, Jonathan was appointed to head the merged firm’s Global Risk Management Solutions (GRMS) practice for Southern Africa, and was simultaneously appointed to the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) executive committee for GRMS and to the Southern African firm’s Audit and Business Advisory Services (ABAS) leadership team. A year later, he was recruited to EPI-USE by a private equity investor planning acquisition of the consultancy.
Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Accountancy, Higher Diploma in Taxation Law and a Master’s degree in Commerce (specializing in Information Systems), all from the University of the Witwatersrand, in South Africa. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in 1988 and is currently registered with the South African Public Accountants and Auditors Board (PAAB) and the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).
