Dr Gerhard Wiechert started his career with SAP AG in January of 1984. Dr Wiechert began as a development manager for the SAP HR Personnel management component, which included the development areas of Master Data, Time Management, Applicant Development, Travel Expenses, and Payroll. He gained many years of additional experience as a consultant on projects for a variety of SAP customers including Alcan Deutschland AG, BASF AG, Thomae GmbH, Österreichische Brau AG, and Tiroler Wasserkraft AG. As a customer support manager, Dr. Wiechert was responsible for HR large customer projects and managed the implementation projects for SAP HR at Bayer AG, Deutsche Post AG, and Hoechst AG.

Dr Wiechert left SAP in July 1997 to become a founding director of target software solution GmbH. Dr Wiechert holds a Ph. D. In Mathematics from the University of Wuppertal.
